Part-time Adult Instructors enable Cadets to learn new skills, overcome fears or difficulties and become responsible citizens. It's an incredibly rewarding role.
Being an Instructor gives you a chance to develop strengths such as leadership skills, team building and confidence – and you can gain vocational management and training qualifications up to Master’s degree level. It is a challenging and worthwhile service to the community which can be beneficial to your career.
The Cadet Forces offer young people the chance to have fun, adventure and make friends. As well as learning military skills like shooting and survival techniques, there's plenty of time for kayaking, rock-climbing, hill walking, mountain biking and much more. They have great summer camps at home and overseas plus the opportunity to gain some very useful qualifications. Cadets contribute to local communities by helping with worthwhile projects and raising money for a wide array of charities.
None of this could happen without the supervision and guidance of the men and women who are their Adult Instructors.
