Commander Richmal Hardinge has taken over as the Commanding Officer of the London Division of the Royal Naval Reserve at HMS President on the River Thames. New Cadet Centre opens in Whipps Cross    

A new £700,000 facility for young people in Whipps Cross has been formally opened by Air Marshal Sir David Walker. The specially designed Joint Cadet Centre is home to 35 Cadet Detachment (Inns of Court And City Yeomanry) Army Cadet Force (ACF), and 12F (Walthamstow and Leyton) Squadron RAF Air Cadets. Air Cadets hit the high note to scoop first place at inaugural Lord Mayor’s Cadet Music Competition
