Association award for ACF Citizenship
This award was introduced into Greater London in 1990 and consists of a trophy which is presented each year to the Commander of the ACF Detachment which is judged to have contributed the most to local community relations through either a single project or a series of activities.
Association Award to Best Army Cadet Force Unit Commanders
As in previous years the Association wishes to publicly recognise a hardworking and dedicated Detachment Commander from the four Army Cadet Force Sector. This year has been unprecedented with the impact of COVID-19 causing the suspension of face to face training activity and yet many Detachment Commanders kept the flame alive through virtual parade nights and other ingenious means. Each Sector is asked to identify the Detachment Commander who has achieved something special or out of the ordinary or is deserving of special praise over the past twelve months.
RAF Air Cadets Squadron Commander of the year 2021
As in previous years the Association wishes to publicly recognise a hard-working and dedicated Squadron Commander from each of Greater London’s RAF Air Cadet Wings. You are asked to identify the Squadron Commander from each Wing who has achieved something special or out of the ordinary or is deserving of special praise over the past twelve months.
Sea Cadet Corps Unit Commanding Officer of the Year 2021
As in previous years the Association wishes to publicly recognise a hardworking and dedicated Unit Commanding Officer from London’s Sea Cadet Corps. You are asked to identify the CO who has achieved something special or out of the ordinary or is deserving of special praise over the past twelve months.
Association Certificate of Commendation – Uniformed Adult Instructors
This award is for uniformed Adult Instructors who have achieved something special or out of the ordinary, or is deserving of special praise over the past twelve months. With the unprecedented impact of COVID-19 causing the suspension of face to face training activity many uniformed Adult Instructors keeping people motivated often by virtual means. This is not a singular award and there can be multiple recipients for this certificate.

This award is for uniformed Civilian Instructors who have achieved something special or out of the ordinary, or is deserving of special praise over the past twelve months. This is not a singular award and there can be multiple recipients for this certificate.
Lord Lieutenant’s Meritorious Service – Reserve Forces
HM Lord- Lieutenant’s Certificate of Meritorious Service was instituted to acknowledge members of the Reserve Forces for their long and meritorious service. Certificates are presented to volunteers who have helped build and nurture relationships important to the county and the community. This is not a singular award and there can be multiple recipients for this certificate.
Lord Lieutenant’s Meritorious Service – Cadet Forces
HM Lord- Lieutenant’s Certificate of Meritorious Service was instituted to acknowledge members of the Cadet Forces for their long and meritorious service. Certificates are presented to volunteers who have helped build and nurture relationships important to the county and the community. This is not a singular award and there can be multiple recipients for this certificate.
Lord Lieutenant’s Cadets Award
Each year the best cadets, one each from the Sea Cadet Corps, Army Cadet Force and RAF Air Cadets within Greater London are selected as The Lord Lieutenant’s Cadets and marks the achievement of outstanding service. Throughout their year in this role they may be asked to accompany the Lord Lieutenant for Greater London to a wide range of events, in particular those with specific importance to their organisation, but also to those of a wider nature.
Reservist of the Year
The Reservist Trophy is presented to volunteers whose outstanding contribution occurred either during or throughout the year in question. It therefore provides an opportunity for recognition to be given to an outstanding achievement irrespective of length of service. This has been an unprecedented year with the significant impact caused by COVID-19 and support from the military including reserves has been instrumental in Government efforts to manage the effects of the pandemic. That said nomination need not be limited to those who supported COVID-19 efforts.
