Celebrate 75 years since the end of the war in Europe and support SSAFA, the UK’s oldest national tri-service military charity. SSAFA provide lifelong support for people who serve, or have served, in the Royal Navy, Royal Marines, British Army or Royal Air Force – and their families since 1885. They work with the Armed Forces community and other organisations to tailor their services for the people they support. They also have the largest network of trained volunteers of any military charity, meaning they can help people in the UK and around the world get the emotional, practical and financial support they need.
SSAFA have produced a full toolkit for VEDay75 to help you at home organise your own home event celebrations, official posters to remember the day and a guide to join in with the Nation’s toast at 3pm on Friday 8th May - Let your friends and family know that the country will still be honouring our World War 2 heroes from ‘the greatest generation of our time’.
The Official Book.
Join the nation with the words of the official toast: “To those who gave so much, we thank you”.
SSAFA has also been working with publishers, SJH Group, to produce a fully-illustrated, hardback publication recounting the stories & events surrounding the 1945 celebrations. The official SSAFA coffee-table book for the 75th anniversary of #VEDay75 is available to pre-order from publishers SJH Group here:
This beautiful official publication is FREE with P&P at £9.99.
