One of the country’s oldest insurance companies has signed the Armed Forces Covenant at the headquarters of the British Army’s oldest regiment, The Honourable Artillery Company.
Customer Services Director Hugh Hessing singed the pledge at a conference for employers of Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force Reserves.
As part of their commitment to support UK Armed Forces by ensuring no member of the military community past or present is disadvantaged by their service, Aviva’s Covenant commitments include:
· 10 days additional paid leave for training for employees who are in the Reserves
· Waive motor policy cancellation fees and retain no-claims bonuses for Service personnel posted overseas
· Support the employment of veterans with a tailored pathway to work for Service leavers
· Striving to support the employment of Service spouses and partners
The Covenant was co-signed by Parliamentary under-Secretary of State for Defence Tobias Elwood, a serving officer in the Army Reserve and former Regular.
