Alan Jerrard awarded VC in Lewisham

Alan Jerrard VC was awarded a VC for actions in Italy on 30 March 1918. A pilot in the Royal Flying Corps, he repeatedly attacked an enemy aerodrome whilst flying at 50ft, defending his fellow officers at the same time.
