The GL RFCA Estates team is based at Fulham House, a Grade II listed building that was built as a private house in the early 18th century.
We provide a comprehensive facilities management service that covers all essential maintenance and repair, grounds maintenance, lease negotiations and assessments, statutory and mandatory inspections, health and safety, asset database maintenance and audit assurance.
There are 40 Reserve centres in London, including HMS President (Royal Navy Reserve Base), Wandsworth Barracks (Royal Marines Reserve Centre) and a Reserve unit at RAF Northolt. There is also an impressive gliding school at RAF Kenley Aerodrome. In addition to our Reserve Units, we have 147 Cadet establishments including four Cadet Training Centres.
There is a tremendous variety of properties spread across the Volunteer Estate, from listed Georgian buildings and original drill halls built at the turn of the 20th century to modern facilities like The Princess Royal House in Sutton.
Our sites can range in size from a few dozen square metres up to almost three acres, in total we manage over 94 hectares of land which includes 239,000 square metres of built areas and 646,000 square metres of land ways, hardstanding and runways.

We operate a comprehensive maintenance programme and our Estate team is always on hand to respond to any maintenance issues across the Volunteer Estate, this includes conducting over 10,000 Statutory and Mandatory Inspections and Tests (SMITs) per annum.
